The GPM Charitable Trust

The GPM Charitable Trust Fund is an independent Charity aimed at workers and their families that are employed, or have been employed within the Graphical, Paper and Media Industries.

The object of the Charity is: The relief of persons and their dependents who are in need, facing hardship or distress or who are sick, convalescent, disabled or infirm.

The Trustees meet regularly to discuss applications and can give grants to applicants to help pay for goods, services or facilities and financial help to alleviate hardship. Over the last couple of years, the Trust has helped individuals in many different ways to improve their quality of life. They have:

• Helped purchase mobility aids.
• Helped finance improvements to their home to enable applicants to remain in their homes.
• Contributed towards the cost of respite care or a convalescent break.
• Contributed towards the cost for family holidays in the UK for families struggling financially.
• Helped support applicants through retraining, skill enhancement, and further education especially following redundancy.
• Assisted with financial assistance to help members retrain.
• Given one-off Hardship Grants to help applicants and their dependants, that are struggling financially.
